Mention Bronze German Shepherd Figural Match Striker 1930s-40s plus the item number TOB-5040

This vintage bronze match striker features a beautifully detailed German Shepherd. Measuring 5 3/4″ tall x 5 7/8″ long x 3″ wide, it is in excellent condition.

It was made, we believe in Germany during the 1930s through the 1940s. Occasionally, we see other such pieces, featuring other animals, such as owls that look very similar.

While the dog is seated on one side of the marble base, the striker is nestled inside a tree trunk, positioned on the opposite side.
The entire piece is wonderfully detailed, and in good working condition.
