Unique Vintage Lighter Spaniel with Bakelite Base

Circa 1940’s

This very unique lighter features a cold-painted Spaniel dog, standing on a circular, Bakelite base.

It was made during the 1940’s by the Hershey Metal Products Company of Derby, CT.

The circular base is made of a molasses brown Bakelite that is 2 1/2″ in diameter. The entire piece is 1 3/4″ tall.

It is in good condition with paint wear and age related tarnish. The Bakelite is in excellent condition with only some very mild scratches on the underside. It is marked “HERSHEY Derby, CT” on the underside.

This is not only a wonderful, collectible lighter, but also a unique gift for any Spaniel or Sporting dog enthusiast.
