This exquisite, Royal Doulton Collie dog was modeled after a noted champion Collie, “Ashtead Applause”, who was owned by a Mr. Roberts c. 1930. A photo of this champion Collie was published in Hutchinson’s Dog Encyclopedia around that time.

This fabulous Royal Doulton Collie Figurine was issued in 1931 and retired in 1985.

It is one of Royal Doulton’s most beautiful dog figurines. The fur lines on this Collie are exquisitely done, making this porcelain dog figurine look almost real.
