This exquisite, Royal Doulton Collie dog was modeled after a noted champion Collie, “Ashtead Applause”, who was owned by a Mr. Roberts c. 1930. A photo of this champion Collie was published in Hutchinson’s Dog Encyclopedia around that time.
This fabulous Royal Doulton Collie Figurine was issued in 1931 and retired in 1985.
