This sterling silver Pekingese dog pin is both elegant and sweet.
The extraordinary detailing of the dog’s flowing fur, especially its’ spectacular tail, makes it a truly exquisite piece to wear both informally on a shirt or sweater, or even as a more formal piece on a dress, dress jacket or shirt.
It was designed and manufactured by Kenart Limited, during WWII at their “Bridgeworks” factory in Stalybridge. They became renowned for their dog pins which were first exhibited at the Crufts Dog Show. It is also believed that the popular dog artist, Thomas Fall, was the designer of the images of over 50 breeds that were included in this pin collection.
Measuring 1″ tall x 1 1/2″ long, this Pekingese pin is in excellent condition, with a “c” clasp, and a straight, working pin. It carries both the Kenart stamp on the back as well as the registration number, and the word “Silver”.
This wonderful pin would make a beautiful gift for any Pekingese owner, or a fabulous addition to your canine jewelry collection.
