What could be more fun than a vintage wood toy push puppet dog? Two, of course!

This adorable pair of push puppet dogs are made of hand-painted wood, with red ears, and “powder puffs” at the end of their tails.

The larger of the two measures 4″ tall x 1 3/4″ in diameter, and the smaller one measures 2 1/2″ tall with a base that is 1″ in diameter.

The base on the smaller dog is solid wood, while the base on the larger dog is plastic. Otherwise, both push puppet dogs look exactly the same.

They are in mint condition, and work perfectly.

They were originally designed in Italy, and became popular in the USA around 1940.

These two adorable vintage dog toys came to us as a pair. What fun it would be to play with this sweet pair and have them “interact” with each other.

They would make terrific “stocking-stuffers” or a “Secret Santa” gift to a favorite child. And “yes”, grown-ups will enjoy playing with them too!
