This vintage Springer Spaniel dog figurine is as sweet as can be.
It is a California Pottery dog, made by Jane Callender, who operated a pottery near Los Angeles during the 1940’s and 1950’s. She was well known for her canine figurines, many of which had her signature clay extruded or “spaghetti” ears and paws.
This seated Springer Spaniel puppy has distinctive “brush stroke” fur lines that make her look quite realistic. She also has just a touch of brown in her eyes, that soften them to give her that gentle Springer Spaniel face.
Measuring 3 1/2″ tall x 3″ long x 1 3/4″ wide, she is in excellent condition.
She would make a wonderful, whimsical addition to your Springer Spaniel collection, or a one-of-a-kind gift to a Springer lover.
