This Depression Glass powder jar is in excellent condition and ready to be placed on your vanity, added to your Depression Glass collection, or proudly presented to a special friend! In the 1930’s, these jars were sold with the powder in them, and then either refilled or used as jewelry or trinket boxes. Described as “pink satin”, this powder jar is actually a wonderful, light salmon color done in what we would describe today as “frosted” glass. The standing terrier dog is 1 1/2″ tall x 2″ long, and the overall size of the jar is 4″ in diameter x 4″ tall. The outer surface of the jar on both the top and the bowl, has an embossed, rippled surface. It was made by the L.E. Smith Glass Company. If you love to re-purpose vintage finds, then this wonderful jar presents so many possibilities! We even love the idea of using it as a covered sugar bowl!
