This is a fabulous reproduction of an antique British Mantle clock that was very popular at the turn of the century. In addition to all the wonderful detailing, what makes this mantle clock so unique is the bronze English Bulldog puppy that is playfully pulling up the rug at his feet. His “caught-in-the-act” look is absolutely priceless! This clock is in excellent working condition, and runs on one triple “A” battery. It has Roman numerals, with a sweep second hand, and is a quartz movement. We believe the black base and clock stand to be heavy painted resin with very ornate gold-painted accents. The rug upon which the bulldog stands is a rich burgundy color, also detailed in gold paint. It measures 8″ high x 8″ long x 5 3/4″ wide. The puppy is 4″ tall x 5″ long x 2 1/2″ wide. This clock is unique in every way and would make a very elegant gift for any dog-lover and especially a Bulldog-lover!
