This gorgeous, Dachshund dog candy dish, was created in heavy lead crystal by Vannes Le Chatel in Lorraine, France. This premiere, French glass company was founded in 1765. They produced lead crystal between 1960 and 1970. This fabulous Dachshund is a full 10 1/2″ long x 3 3/4″ tall x 2 1/2″ wide. He stands with his nose pointing straight forward, and his tail curled up towards the sky. The maker’s mark is etched onto the bottom of his right front paw. He is in excellent condition with some slight scratching on the bottoms (undersides) of his paws.
He weighs approximately 2lbs. 5 oz.
