Vintage Glass Sitting Boxer Dog

This fabulous heavyweight crystal glass Boxer dog was designed by Kenneth R. Haley (1946-1973), a master glass mold maker and the son of Reuben Haley, also a well- known glass designer. It was produced by The American Glass Company.
This is one of two versions of this same dog, which was based on the dog that belonged to Mr. Lowitz, the owner of the American Glass Company. It is in excellent condition and measures 4″ long x 4 1/2″ tall x 3 1/2″ wide.
He is in a comfortable pose, with a sweet and curious expression on his face. You can find this fabulous figurine on page 7 of “Glass Animals of the Depression Era by Dick Spencer.
