This beautiful Springer Spaniel was designed by Karl Tutter for the Porcelain Factories Company, Selb Bavaria, as part of the “Tierwelt” (Wildlife) series between 1955 – 1968. Both the form and the colouring of this dog are exquisite. He appears to be stopped in mid-stride with his front paw raised and gazing outward, as though something important has suddenly caught his attention. The fur lines on his legs and tail are so beautifully rendered, they almost appear to be flowing. He stands 4 1/4″ tall x 5 3/4″ long x 2 1/4″ wide, and he is in excellent condition, with the marker’s mark under his left front paw. He also still has his original Hutschenreuther label. Anyone who has ever owned a Springer will just fall in love with this enchanting boy, who is so realistically made, you can almost feel the “spring” in his step.
