Vintage Occupied Japan Dog Figurine with Cap and Pipe
This wonderful dog figurine, made in “Occupied Japan” absolutely exudes personality and charm. With his bright green cap cocked over one ear, and a small black pipe in his mouth, you could almost mistake him for a canine “Sherlock Holmes.” He is one of the many items made in Japan, specifically for export between 1945 – 1952.
His red “Made in Occupied Japan” mark, tells us that he was created during the first half of that period of time, making him an older piece, and the most collectible. Sitting 3″ tall x 2 3/4″ long x 2 1/2″ wide, he is in excellent condition. He will certainly be a great addition to an “Occupied Japan” collection. However, if you’d just like have the company of a dapper canine, this little guy would be the one to pick!
