Best Friends for life, these two Scottish Terriers, standing together, were modeled for Rosenthal by Fritz Heidenreich c.1938. The white dog is male and the black dog is female. They are poised together on base, with their heads tilted and noses pointed up, as those they were posing for the camera. They are in excellent condition and measure 3 3/4″ tall x 7″ long x 3 3/4″ wide. They carry the Rosenthal stamp on the underside of the base. They also have the artist’s name incised on the top of the base, behind their rear paws.
They are not only charming, but they are so well detailed, and with such personality, you will want to give them names.
Those who collect Rosenthal canines know that this wonderful pair, (Mold #1688 ), are quite difficult to find.
