This gorgeous American Foxhound figurine was created by Royal Doulton in three sizes. This one is the small size, and the most challenging to find. It was designed by Frederick Daws, a master of canine anatomy, and the main artist for Royal Doulton’s champion dog models. This Foxhound was issued in 1938, and retired in 1952. He is exquisitely modeled and hand -painted to show off both his athleticism and his high spirit. He stands 4″ tall x 1 1/4″ wide x 5″ long. He is in excellent condition. He does have some crazing, which we did not notice until we saw it through the camera lens. If you are a collector of Royal Doulton canines, this wonderful dog is a must-have. If you are a sporting dog enthusiast, this exquisite figurine represents a rare breed that you won’t want to miss.
