This whimsical Jack Russell dog, is seated and looks to be either barking or yawning! We love this one in particular because he is so well detailed…you can even see his teeth! He was introduced by Royal Doulton in 1934 as part of the “Dogs of Character” series, which was a series of 12 dogs, modeled in various poses, and believed to be inspired by the works of Cecil Aldin, a popular British artist and illustrator. This wonderful pup has a perfect high gloss finish, and bears the green Royal Doulton backstamp and the mold # H.N.1099. He is in excellent condition and sits 4″ tall x 2 1/2″ long x 2 1/2″ wide. If you collect this series or are tempted to, now’s the time to snatch this pup up! Take a look at our last picture to see the 3 “Dogs of Character” that we currently have in our shop. If you are interested in all 3, please let us know and we will be happy to offer you a discount. He also works well in a mix with other Jack Russell Terrier figurines by different artists, and makes a perfect gift to any lover of this high-energy and brilliant breed!
