This exquisite, porcelain figurine of a reclining Russian Wolfhound/Borzoi is so finely molded, and beautifully hand-painted. Made in Ilmenau, Thuringen, Germany by the Metzler & Ortloff Company between 1910 – 1940, she is in excellent condition. She has a wonderful, elegant and gentle look about her, created by the combination of her soft coloring, and the profusion of swirling fur lines covering her neck, legs and tail. She reclines with her front paws elegantly crossed and her head held high. She is 4 1/2″ long x 2 1/2″ tall x 2″ wide. This lovely dog will add a touch of elegance to any room. She would also make a GORGEOUS gift for someone very special, and a “must-have” addition to any Borzoi collection.
