This pair of Staffordshire Poodle dogs is absolutely exquisite. Posing in a perfect bow, they measure 3″ tall x 4 1/4″ long x 2 1/2″ wide, They are highly and colorfully detailed from the soft white coloring of their bodies in contrast to the bright white abundance of curly fur that surrounds their heads, tails and legs. Likewise the “ground” at the base of each figurine has very realistic-looking, dark green tufts of moss. Each piece has a wide, gilded banding along the bottom edge. They are each marked with a gilded anchor, the Chelsea Porcelain Mark, as well as the blue, stamped crown with the letter “N”, which identifies them as being made by the Ernst Bohne Sons factory in Rudolstadt, Germany between 1878 – 1920.
They are in excellent condition and a truly special find.
