This adorable, faience puppy figurine was made in the USSR, and marked accordingly, on its underside. It also has a green stamp, which is from the Konakovo factory which was established in 1809, and is one of the most highly awarded faience manufacturers in Russia. This “chubby” puppy sits with his back paw between his front legs, showing off the pink pads. He is 4″ tall x 5 1/2″ long x 3″ wide. Despite his “youthful” appearance, he is quite old, and has some mild crazing and a tiny chip on the back of his neck (as can be seen in the pictures.) He is otherwise in excellent condition, and is so sweet, you will not be able to pass him by without wanting to reach out and pat his head!
