This exquisite, antique, letter opener was made in Birmingham, England in 1906. The handle is sterling silver and bears a two-sided Pug dog head pattern, that is beautifully detailed. The blade is stainless steel with a mirrored finish. The handle is fully hallmarked with an Anchor, the Lion Passant and the date letter “g.” It also shows the maker’s mark “C&N”, which shows that this incredible piece was manufactured by Crisford & Norris. At 9 1/4″ long it is in Mint condition.
This extraordinary letter opener would make a unique and stunning addition to the office or home of any pug enthusiast. As a collector’s piece, it is undoubtedly a truly rare and wonderful find.
