This wonderful piece of Antique British Dog Memorabilia, was made by Cooper Brothers & Sons in 1928. It is a large, solid sterling spoon that has a highly detailed head of a Fox Terrier dog at the top, with the words “The Wire Fox Terrier Association” surrounding it. It is fully hallmarked on the back with CB & S for the maker’s name, the Lion Passant mark for Silver, the Crown mark for Sheffield, and the date letter “l” for 1928.
It is 7″ long and the bowl is 1 1/2″ in diameter. The spoon is in excellent condition. Any copper-color in the pictures is due to reflection on the spoon.
This is certainly a rare, and unique piece to add to any Fox Terrier collection. However, if you are a dog enthusiast, and appreciate fine silver, this spoon would be a wonderful addition to your table.
