This vintage art is a later impression of a hand colored engraving by Herbert Dicksee (1862 – 1942.) Entitled “Forgotten”, tells a story of a Scottish Terrier dog, waiting patiently by his plate for dinner to be served, while hoping that he had not been forgotten. It was originally created in 1929. Measuring 23″ tall x 26 1/2″ wide, it is in excellent condition. It is framed in a beautiful black wood frame with a gold moulding with a sgraffito design.
This is certainly one of Dicksee’s most charming dog portraits, and the perfect choice for the home of any Scottie enthusiast.
