These vintage, sterling silver baby bib clips were created by the Webster Company of North Attleboro, MA (1869-1950). They were a popular christening gift during the 1930’s through the 1940’s, and were often seen with detailed bunnies, ducks, cats, even cherubs and teddy bears.
This set is unique in that it is detailed with a pair of pug dogs, each one seated in front of a doghouse. These double, sterling silver, baby bib clips are connected with a very fine silver chain that is approximately 15 cm long. Each clip is 2 cm tall x 1 cm wide, and is marked “Sterling” on the back, along with the Webster Co. mark of a “W” with an arrow through its’ center.
They are in great vintage condition, with some mild surface wear. The clips are spring-loaded, and they are in excellent working condition. They have a nice patina, that, if to be given as a gift, you might want to polish up.
