Porcelain Pug Dog Fairing
This whimsical porcelain Pug dog fairing, captures the mischievous spirit of three dogs, two of whom seem to have found their way onto the parlor furniture.
“Fairings”, were made and hand-painted in Germany and given out at outdoor fairs in England in the early 1900’s.
This fairing was made by Conta & Boehne of Germany. This one, entitled “The Orphans” was very popular.
Measuring 4″ tall x 3 1/2″ long x 1 3/4″ wide, it is in excellent condition, beautifully hand painted, with some scripted numbers impressed on the underside of the base.
Fairings are unique and highly collectible porcelain figurines, and the perfect dog lover’s gift.
This particular fairing, is a special favorite for Pug lover’s, and the perfect addition to any porcelain Pug collection.
