This wonderful art deco style awards medal is .925 sterling and is 111 years old. It was awarded by the Pug Dog Club, which was founded in The United Kingdom on January 16, 1883. Its’ first dog show was held in 1885, and this particular medal was awarded in 1902. Intended for use as a watch fob, it is a spectacular example of art deco scrollwork and a fine specimen of a pug’s bust. The back of the medal is engraved: 1st WIN FLOWER VASE DARLINTON 1902. It is in outstanding condition, and it would make a fabulous addition to any pug lover’s collection, framed, or worn as a beautiful pendant.
