Vintage Sterling Silver and Enamel Bulldog Watch Fob

Circa 1927-28

This elegant, sterling silver watch fob/medal was awarded to a Bulldog who participated in the “A.F.C. Competition in 1927-28.

It features a very realistic portrait of the dog, hand-painted on a circular enamel disc, set into the center of the piece.
It is surrounded by the words “DEVON MINOR LEAGUE”. There is also a loop at the top, which also allows you to use it as a gorgeous pendant.

The back is inscribed with the name and the date of the event, as well as possibly the Bulldog’s name:KITTO.

The front of this piece is in good condition. It appears that some enamel had been the background of the circle that surrounds the dog, and it has mostly worn off. The back shows some minor wear that you would expect from the age of the piece.

Not only is this watch fob/medal highly collectible, it is also a fabulous find for any Bulldog lover.
