This stunning portrait of a Schnauzer dog was done by Peggy B. Walker in 1988 and entitled “Faye’s Friend.” It is done, elegantly, in wool yarn, with a background of rich burgundy, and the dog’s head in light cream, light and dark greys, with touches of tan, soft brown, flesh and muted rose (inside of ears), and black. It is framed under glass with a wood frame, painted gold. The entire piece is in excellent condition with absolutely flawless needlework. The frame does have two very slight dents in the top right hand corner that are hard to notice without close inspection. It is labeled on the back and the label reads: “Faye’s Friend” Grospoint by Peggy B. Walker 1988. The entire work-of-art, including the frame measures 15″ x 15″. The needlepoint that can be seen measures just under 13″ x 13″. This is a wonderful vintage piece, that was lovingly done. A great addition to a Schnauzer gallery, or the perfect special occasion gift for a Schnauzer-lover!
