Morton Pottery Pair of Bulldog Planters
This sweet pair of Bulldog Planters are wonderful additions to any American Pottery collection. Measuring 4″ tall x 3 3/4″ long x 3 1/2″ wide each, they will accommodate a small plant, or a variety of small trinkets. These two coy pups, with their heads tilted every so slightly, look adorable displayed together.
They were produced by the Morton Pottery Company of Illinois between the 1930’s – 1940’s. One is done in a wonderful, lemon yellow, and the other in a soft mint green. They are in pristine condition both inside and out, with the exception of a chip along the outer edge of the front paw of the green dog (see picture.) Because of the location of this chip, they still display beautifully.
