This lovely cream-colored planter has a flawless matte finish. It is glazed inside and out and in great condition with some discoloration on the inside from use. It was made by the Shawnee Pottery Company of Zanesville, Ohio (1937-1961) from natural clay of the area. It is stamped “USA” on the bottom as part of a “Buy American” campaign that were quite popular at the time. It works well as a planter for a small plant, but can also e re-purposed to hold eyeglasses or pens on a desk or countertop! A sweet reminder of who is patiently at home for you after work.
