Nothing is more elegant than basic black, and this Art Deco dog ashtray is a study in simplicity and elegance. It was created by Greensburg Glass Works in the mid-1920’s – 1930’s, and features a highly-detailed Wire-Haired Fox Terrier. It is done in what was called ebony glass, with a very smooth, high gloss finish. It is 4″ in diameter, and the dog is 1″ tall x 1 1/2″ long x 1/2″ wide. It is in excellent condition, with no signs of wear, which is outstanding, considering it’s age. Despite its original purpose, it can easily be re-purposed as a dish to hold cufflinks, rings, coins, etc…A fabulous gift for a very “classy” guy!
