This fabulous, porcelain Wire Haired Fox Terrier was modeled by Konrad Schmid, a sculptor known for his highly realistic renditions of animals. This Wire Haired Fox Terrier was believed to be moddeled after a dog named “Grimm”. He was one of the first of Schmid’s works and this along with other sculptures of “Grimm” launched his career at Nymphenburg.
Measuring a full 9″ tall x 9 1/2″ long x 5″ wide, he is in excellent condition. He is incised with the Nymphenburg shield, as well as the model # 628, and the number 5.
For Fox Terrier enthusiasts, this figurine captures a unique look at this wonderful breed, in a highly detailed, realistic way. He is an extraordinary addition to any Fox Terrier collection, and the perfect gift for any Fox Terrier lover.
