This pair of bronzed, Scottish Terrier Dogs, metal bookends are a wonderful example of Art Deco style.
Their understated elegance with sharp, geometric lines, are true to the style of those made by Frankart during the 1920’s through the 1930’s. They have a rarity rating of 5, on a 1-5 scale, with 5 being the rarest.
These Scotties are especially charming, posing with one dog’s head resting along the top of the other dog’s back, in a show of sweet companionship.
Their bases are uniquely shaped, and serve to embellish each dog beautifully.
They can be seen on page 96 of “The Collector’s Encyclopedia of Bookends”, by Kuritzky and De Costa.
Each one measures 4 1/4″ tall x 5 1/2″ long x 3 1/2″ wide.
They are in excellent condition, and ready to become a favorite addition to your collection.
If you love Scotties, you will love these fabulous bookends.
