Created by Gebruder Heubach, the well-known dollmakers of Thuringia Germany, this porcelain Mastiff dog looks every bit the “gentle giant”. The lifelike detailing shows everything from the furrow in his brow to the pads on the undersides of his paws! Reclining at 4″ tall x 10″ long x 3 1/2″ wide, he is done in a snowy white with soft grey markings, deep set black and tan eyes ,a soft grey nose, and a beautiful, high-gloss finish. He is an exquisite example of the Heubach figurines of the early 20th century with the model # 8383 impressed on the base of his paw and the green Heubach factory mark clearly stamped on his underside. Truly a unique and rare find, and an extraordinary addition to any canine porcelain collection.
