This wonderful child’s cast iron bank was designed by G. Drayton at the beginning of her career. Called “Puppo The Boston Terrier Puppy Dog”, it dates back to the turn of the century, and was made through the 1930’s. It is so similar to the sketch entitled “Stung” by Marguerite Kirmse, which was done in 1931, that one might conclude that one inspired the other! This beauty has the original paint and screw along with missing paint, some rust, and oxidation. Nonetheless, this little sweetheart is adorable with a startled puppy look in her eyes and a pout on her face.
